Make your own Jelly Shaped Fish!

2 Apr

Making Jelly is one of my favorite shared activities with Junior and for our Week Under the Ocean – It’s Fish Shaped Jelly, of course!

Needless to say it’s super easy! 🙂 Requires very little prep and Junior can do part of himself!

This self-explanatory really! But here goes!

What we used:

  • One packet of Jelly in your little one’s favourite colour
  • Spoon
  • Fish shaped ice-cube tray
  • Plastic containers

How we did it:

  1. Again, goes without saying! Prepare the jelly according to its instructions
  2. Get your little one to pour it into the fish moulds!

Ok, that way easy! But here are a few things to watch out for:

  • Do not let your little one pour in the jelly till it has cooled down a bit. Boiling temp jelly mixture in your little one’s hands is not a particularly a good idea.
  • I like to use plastic containers when cooking with Junior, for the obvious reasons.
  • How you choose to let your little one to our it in is  up to you, i choose the spoon. I find it a little bit less messier!

I know it still looks a bit messy! It’s not meant to be ‘unmessy’, it’s meant to be fun! So yay!

If you want to know where I got my supplies from me, get in touch with me!
